iii. Estimate options and solutions
Options to consider for cost, practical and time issues

iv. Cost planning and budget estimates
Cost planning and project budgeting is often required in feasibility and design development stages to assess various design options
This detail is provided in building elements rather than trades
Options and alternate solutions at this stage will drive the design and project timing
v. Construction methodology
The Building process is more than quantities, rates and subcontract prices.
A good safe and cost effective site management plan and method is required to understand your tender but often a tender requirement.
Darico will work with your team to provide that methodology on a document for use and/ or presentation
vi. Programming
Good programmes are developed from the Bill of Quantities, estimate and methodology
Essential for communication of critical path, dates, procurement as well as subcontract, site and client management, incl time extensions.
Darico can produce tender programmes if requested as well as identify critical programme activities.
vii. Variation assessment
It is sometimes quicker and more fluid to have variations costed by the same personnel that produced the estimate, as there may be other cost and building implications to the design change. This is particularly relevant at the beginning of the project or major design alterations, that need a rapid response to reduce project delays and associated costs.
viii. Project coordination management
Site management plans
Facility coordination
Staging plans
Value engineering
QA and reporting

What makes us different
A consultant with actual experience in project delivery can understand how important it is to have accurate and clear documentation. Darico has that experience that most consultants lack, and therefore can communicate that information to the construction team.
For the project, Darico is part of your team.
The On Site Construction Management Team - Foreman, Supervisors and Site Managers -have the most difficult jobs in a construction firm.
These jobs are at the coal face of construction, delivering the project for a demanding client, a fluid design team, a pressurised construction manager, whilst often working with non-cooperative, or non-understanding trades or subcontractors. This is all very stressful but the site team is also required to deliver a quality project, safely, within budget and on time. That is a lot of pressure, coordination and cooperation.
The site management teams need to have confidence in the estimate, quantities, programme and building processes so that they can focus on good construction practice.
The staff at Darico have had over 40 years actual experience in these difficult site roles and understand the site pressures and the need for good communication with accurate quantities and achievable estimates, with a sensible project methodology and well coordinated programme.
